ABUJA – The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Suleiman Abba, on Monday, pledged the readiness of the force to tackle all security issues concerning the forthcoming general elections. [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”8″]
He made the pledge in a statement signed by the force Spokesman, Mr Emmanuel Ojukwu, an Acting Commissioner of Police, made available to newsmen in Abuja.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
The inspector general also expressed the determination of the force to take “all lawful measures to ensure the safety of Nigerians at all times.’’[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
He said the police and other security agencies had deployed strategically nationwide to ensure that law abiding Nigerians go about their lawful businesses without fear and molestation.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Abba also assured those who had travelled for the New Year and Maulud celebrations of their safety and security as they return to their various destinations across the country. (NAN)
