Lagos – The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday said that it had sealed a fish factory for fixing false expiry dates on expired cartons of fish.
A statement signed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Dolapo Badmos, indicated that the factory had been sealed for conspiracy, forgery and falsification of product expiry dates.
The command said police had acted on information that the company, Haano Factory, of 144 Oba Akran Road, Ikeja, Lagos, was fixing falsified expiry dates on cartons of expired fish.
“Police operatives from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and officials of Lagos State Ministry of Health stormed the site.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
“Exhibits of already removed expiry tags and new expiry tags to be used were recovered.
“The factory has been sealed by the Lagos state ministry of health and the case is already under investigation,“ the statement read. (NAN)
