BAUCHI – The police in Bauchi State have urged the public to be vigilant and support security measures in the state as incidents of terrorism heightened in Northern parts of the country.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, Mr Haruna Mohammed, in Bauchi on Thursday.
The statement appealed to the people to monitor their environments and public places, especially the motor parks.
“Members of the general public should be security conscious within their physical and social environments.
“They should pay attention to persons and objects, particularly at motor parks, markets and places of worship,” Mohammed said.
Mohammed said that any suspicious person or object sighted anywhere in the state should be reported to the nearest police station.
He assured that the police in the state were always ready to fight security challenges, and called on the public to assist the command with information. (NAN)
