Police Vs Saraki: Social Media Reacts as Nigeria’s Democracy Goes Under Threat

ABUJA (Sundiata Post) There was great confusion in Nigeria’s democracy today as impunity was taken a notch higher. The police whose duty is to ensure peace and order are now being used to enforce chaos.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki was invited by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to answer some questions pertaining to the infamous Offa robbery attack in Kwara state which he was allegedly connected to.

But it turns out it was a ploy to ambush him while his impeachment will be enacted in his absence in the National Assembly, and to also prevent some senators in the ruling party, APC, from defecting to opposition, PDP.

The residential houses of the senate President and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu were blocked by the police on ‘orders from above.’

As 2019 Presidential election draws near, many Nigerians are shocked by these acts of desperation by the presidency to act irresponsibly above the law.
