YOLA – The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa, Mr Gabriel Adaji, has confirmed the death of an immigration officer shot by a police officer at Gurin, the Nigeria – Cameroun border town in Fufore LGA.
Adaji told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola on Friday that the policeman had been arrested and detained by the Criminal Investigation Department.
He said the suspect, if found culpable, would face the wrath of the law.
NAN learnt that the diseased, Abubakar Mijinyawa, 35, was attached to Gurin out-post station as the policeman. (NAN)
