Poll: Tight Security At Enugu INEC Office

Ahead of presidential and national elections on Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have tightened security around it premises the Enugu State capital of INEC headquarters.

Also the city seems to be on siege as armed took over the streets of the city and the presence of the soldiers have caused tension as are panic.

Apart from manning the streets, a team of security operatives comprising the DSS, Police and military personnels surrounded the INEC office at Independent Avenue armed to the teeth as sensitive material are being distributed across the state.

It was gathered that the were deployed at the strategic locations the state to forestall any break down of law and order.

Commercial and private vehicles were thoroughly searched by the who have turned to traffic officers the majors streets in Enugu.

At the INEC office, the gate was shut to prevent voters who troop to the headquarters to check their names on the billboard.

Meanwhile, some political parties have continued door to door campaign to lure voters to their side.

As the time of filing this report some parties members were still various places canvassing for votes. (PM News)
