PORT HARCOURT – The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) says the
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]rehabilitation of a 45 MVA transformer located at Ogbunabali area in Port Harcourt would last 10 days.
The spokesman of the company, Mr Jonah Iboma, said this in a statement issued on Friday in Port Harcourt.
He said that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) started the rehabilitation work on Feb. 14.
“This rehabilitation work will affect customers in areas such as Government House, Forces Avenue, William Jumbo, Marine Base, Bundu Waterside, Nigeria Port Authority, Aggrey road and Sand filled area.
“Other areas affected are Captain Amangala, UBE, Diobu, Mile 1, Mile 3, UST, some parts of Rumuolumeni and Ada George and the entire Borokiri area,” he said in the statement stated.
Iboma, according to the statement, said the affected areas would experience “load shedding” during the period the rehabilitation work would last.
He said the upgrade, when completed, would enable PHED to ensure improved electricity supply to its customers in the affected areas. (NAN)
