LUSAKA – Zambia’s Secretary to the Cabinet, Roland Msiska, has announced that the President Michael Sata’s body would arrive in the country on Saturday from London where he died while receiving medical treatment.
Msiska also disclosed on Thursday that President Sata would be buried on Nov. 11 at Embassy Park in Lusaka, where second and third presidents of the southern Africa nation, Frederick Chiluba and Levy Mwanawasa, respectively, were buried.
According to Msiska, President Sata’s body will be led to Mulungushi International Conference Hall in Lusaka where he will lie in state and that the body viewing will commence on Sunday.
“Church service will be held on Tuesday at Heroes Stadium on Nov. 11 before the body is put to rest at Embassy Park,’’ Msiska said .
President Sata died on Tuesday at King Edward VII Hospital, Beaumont, Central London, where he was receiving medical treatment for undisclosed illness. (PANA/NAN)
