LAGOS (Sundiata Post) – Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo has come to the defense of her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, after he won the Best East African Artiste of the Year award at the 17th Headies Awards.
The prestigious ceremony took place on Sunday evening at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos. Juma Jux, accompanied by Priscilla, accepted the award with gratitude, thanking God, his wife, his management, his family, his JP lovers, and the Headies organisers for supporting East African music.
However, a Twitter user, Oku Yungx, implied that Juma Jux married Priscilla to gain recognition in Nigeria and win awards like the Headies. The tweet read, “Lmao. The game is the game.”
In response, Priscilla sarcastically supported the claim, stating, “Yes, o, he got married for Nigerian recognition and the Headies Award. The game is the game, my brother.” She went on to praise Juma, calling him a “smart, calculative, and hardworking man” and expressed how fortunate she was to have him by her side.
She also extended her gratitude to their fans, writing, “Big love to JP fans for voting. We love you.”
