Ado-Ekiti – Commercial activities were on Tuesday paralysed in Ado-Ekiti, following the blockage of several roads leading to the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that all the banks in the state capital and most shops were under lock and key.
Mr Adeojo Taiwo, a civil servant told NAN that he experienced hardship before getting to his place of work, adding that commercial and taxi drivers refused to work.
He described his experience as a sad one, attributing the development to the insistence of the 19 APC lawmakers to impeach Gov. Ayodele Fayose.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
On the peaceful protest, Adeojo said that it was done in support of the governor.
He said that the protest was not done by the civil servants alone but were joined by the market women and other lovers of peace in the state.
