Lawal gave the advice at a one-day sensitisation workshop organised by a coalition of civil societies in Kano on Monday.
‘’It is high time for the youths to know that they are only being used as cannon fodders.
” They should also understand that politicians take their children to the best of schools and hospitals but they only turn to you during elections,” he said.
The provost also said that holding free and fair election was the only way to move the country forward.
In his remarks, the coalition spokesman, Idris Rogo, also stressed the need for Christians and Muslims to live in peace with one another.
Rogo said the workshop was organised for Christian and Muslim youths to rub minds on the need to promote peace in the country. (NAN).
