The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointments of four Commissioners of Police to lead different state commands in Nigeria.
CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, who had recently moved to the Rivers State Command, is now returning as the Commissioner of Police for the Delta State Command.
CP Peter Ukachi Opara has been assigned to lead the Cross River State Command. According to a statement by the head of press and public relations, Ikechukwu Ani, Opara was previously appointed as Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, then moved to Delta State, and now has been sent to Cross River State.
Ani further stated, “CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala from Katsina State has been posted to Rivers State, while Gyogon Augustine Grimah from Nasarawa State has been posted to the Kaduna State Command.”
The PSC’s decision has been communicated to the Inspector-General of Police for implementation through a letter signed by the Commission Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu.
