ABUJA – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the FCT on Monday commended members of the public for turning out en-mass to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) in the territory.
The Head, Voter Education and Publicity, Mr Okezie Nwankwo, gave the commendation in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday. [eap_ad_2] “We noticed that there was a huge turnout of people that came out to collect their cards. The rains hindered many residents and we also could not expose our machines in that condition.
“This informed the REC extending the collection of cards by two days in the FCT only,’’ Nwankwo said.
He said that those that had yet to collect their cards should avail themselves of the opportunity.
NAN reports that the collection of cards earlier scheduled to end on Sunday will now end on Tuesday. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
