KANO – The Kano State Government on Thursday declared Friday as a public holiday to enable eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This is contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Dr Damburan Nuhu, in Kano.
According to the statement, INEC will begin the distribution of the PVCs in all the registration points across the state on Friday.
The statement also advised persons who had attained 18 years since the last exercise in 2011 to register during the Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVRs) in the state.
INEC had announced that the distribution of permanent voter cards would commence in the state from Nov 7 to Nov. 9. (NAN)
