ENUGU – Foster Chime, the Media Officer of the Rangers FC of Enugu, on Thursday said the Wonder Goal Award won by two of its players ws a testimony to the quality of the team.
Chime made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu.
He said the award had demonstrated that both the players and technical crew of the club were disciplined and dedicated.
“We have talented players and ought to have been in a better position in the league if not for some lapses.
“Rangers have been producing good players and these crops of players are not different.
“To crown it all, Osaguna Ighodaro and Emeka Eze received an award of ‘Wonder Goal Winner’ for the first stanza of the season,” he said.[eap_ad_2]
Chime said that the awards was as a result of hard work and craftsmanship on the field of play.
“I congratulate the two players for making Rangers proud with their achievement, we pray such awards will continue to pour in for the players,” he said.
He said that Ighodaro had gain more experience from playing for the Super Eagles
“Such experience was instrumental to the team’s mid-week victory over Dolphins of Port Harcourt.
“Ighodaro gave us the lead, while Obiozor won us the match through the goal he scored from a rebound,” he said.
Chime assured that the team would do well in their weekend match against Warri Wolves.
