Aba (Abia) – The re-run governorship election in Abia has been conducted peacefully in most of the affected wards in the Aba area, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
A NAN correspondent who visited some of the wards reports that voters came out as early as 8 a.m.
The INEC officials, however, arrived at some of the polling units at 9.30 a.m, leading to delays in the accreditation process.

Voting was, however, smooth and peaceful unlike a fortnight ago when voters were dispersed with tear gas in some poling units due to violence.
At the Okigwe Road Primary School, Aba, there were no INEC officials or materials as at 11.40 a.m.
Unlike two week ago when people turn out en masse to cast their votes, only a few people were at the polling units visited.
The elections were over and the votes were being counted at various polling units in the area at 3 p.m. (NAN)
