ABUJA – The National Elections of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) will hold in January 2015, an official said on Friday in Abuja.
The NRA President, Ahmed Maude, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the elections would hold earlier than scheduled because of the 2015 general elections.
Maude said the election was earlier billed to hold in February at the expiration of the present administration’s tenure.

“But we have now had to move it back so as to avoid a clash with the general elections in the country,’’ he said.
The NRA president however said the elections at the Society and Council levels would hold in September and October respectively.
He said a six-man Electoral Committee has been set up already to finalise arrangements for the elections.
“There is a six-man electoral committee on ground, chaired by Rabiu Gusau, and the committee members will meet next week in Abuja to discuss and finalise the election arrangements,’’ Maude said.(NAN)
