ABUJA – Alhaji Ibrahim Buba, the Chairman, Board of Directors, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), has condoled with the management and staff of the agency over the death of its immediate past Managing Director Mrs Oluremi Oyo.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday in Abuja by the chairman on behalf of the members, Buba said Oyo died at a time when her services were most needed by the country.
He described her death as “a great loss’’ not only to the media industry but to the country in general. [eap_ad_2] Buba also described Oyo as an “intelligent, hardworking and diligent professional that brought honour and dignity to the journalism profession.’’
He prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest and her family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Oyo died on Wednesday in the United Kingdom where she was recuperating after receiving treatment for an ailment. (NAN) [eap_ad_3]
