ABUJA (SUNDIATA POST)- The Member Representing Atakunmosa East/Atakunmosa West/Ilesa East/Ilesa West Federal Constituency of Osun State, Hon. Omirin Emmanuel Olusanya has called for support of cultural exchange as he leads some Members of Osun State House of Assembly to Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPAwards) in California, United States of America.
Hon. Olusanya who is the Deputy Chairman, Nigeria-United Kingdom Parliamentary Group in a statement noted that his decision to support HAPAwards is in view of the fact that the event supports cultural exchange and creativity.
The Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPAwards) is an annual event that celebrates excellence in creativity and artistry. It’s a prestigious award that recognizes outstanding individuals in various fields, including music, film, television etc.
The event has been held in various locations in California, including the Alex Theater and the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena.
Similarly, according to the Producer and African Representative of HAPAwards, Adeola Odunowo, the event themed – “A Fusion of Cultures: promises to celebrate the best of African heritage and cultural values,'” is scheduled to take place in California in October 27, 2024.
He noted that the platform aims to bridge the cultural gap between Hollywood and Africa, recognizing excellence in film, music and arts.
Odunowo, further expressed optimism that the presence of Hon. Olusanya and other members of the Osun State House House of Assembly will significantly contribute to the vision and mission of HAPAwards.
According to Hon. Olusanya, some of the Osun State House of Assembly lawmakers that will accompany him to the event in California include ilesa East State Constituency representative, Hon Olatunbosun Oladiran Oyewole; Ilesa West State Constituency, Hon. Akerele Olawale Oladipupo; Atakunmosa East/Atakunmosa West State Constituency, Hon,Adeboye Sanmi Ebenezer among others.
