Abuja – House of Representatives on Tuesday adjourned shortly after resumption of plenary with agreement to be sitting once in a week only on Tuesday in tandem with the lockdown order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before adjournment, the “Quarantine Act 2004′ was presented by the Speaker House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and a colleague in the house.
The bill is seeking for a stiff punishment for offenders for the Convid-19 safety standards.
The house thereafter adjourned till next week Tuesday. And from the effect of the Convid-19, lawmakers will be sitting on Tuesdays only till the pandemic is over.
