Abuja- Members of the House of Representatives, on Wednesday observed a minute silence over the series of mass killings by Boko Haram insurgents in Baga, Borno.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the killings took place between Jan. 3 and Jan.7 leaving 150 people dead, among other destructions.

The lawmakers called on the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), to provide relief materials for the victims of the attacks without delay.
This followed a motion sponsored by Rep. Yakubu Dogara (Bauchi-APC) who commended the military for its dogged fight against the insurgents.
The House adjourned sitting to Feb.17, to enable members to participate in the general elections. (NAN)
