He told his supporters and party faithful that he would use the door-to-door campaign method to sell his message to the people of Asari-Toru and Akuku-Toru Local Government Areas.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
He assured them that the success achieved during his first term in the House of Representatives would be improved on if he was re-elected.
He said the APC would provide true leadership for his constituents and the people of Kalabari at large.
“As we go from door-to-door, we are not going as violent people, we are going to preach the message of peace and development.
“APC represents all that the Kalabari people are looking for, is it peace, development in all areas of life? APC is the answer,” George said.
Earlier, George had called on the traditional ruler of Abonnema, King Disreal Bobmanuel and sought his blessing for his campaign.
Responding, Bobmanuel thanked the lawmaker for the projects he attracted to his area and urged him to remain peaceful.
“I know you as a competent and peace loving man, I want that to transcend to your followership as there is no member of your party that you will tell sit down and he will not sit down.”
According to the ruler, the Kalabari area needs peace and does not want to run up and down again and burn houses.
He addeed that all the people needed to do was to participate in party politics and bring development.
The monarch blessed the lawmaker and urged him to work with his colleagues to ensure that the only road to Kalabari was in good shape and that peace returned to the waterways. (NAN)
