He said that the governorship and House of Assembly polls previously scheduled for Feb. 28 had been shifted to April 11.
“We have resolved not to change our minds and we are also happy that all our members have resolved to be calm against all odds,” Ambode said.
He said that the party would increase its campaign despite the change in election dates.
“We will go on house to house and neighbourhood to neighbourhood campaign.
“We will not relent, come March 28, vote for Buhari as the president and on April 11, vote me as your governor; I will not disappoint you,” he said.
Ambode promised to consolidate on the achievements of Gov. Babatunde Fashola and his predecessor, Sen. Bola Tinubu.
He promised to complete the Abesan mini stadium to international standard, if elected governor.
Ambode said that he would make the state’s economy more viable.
Also speaking, Fashola advised the electorate to shun every form of violence that could ruffle the system.
He urged the residents to be patient and to also obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to be able to vote for candidates of their choice.
Fashola appealed to residents to vote for Ambode in order to sustain the development efforts of the state. (NAN)
