IBADAN – The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Samuel Odulana, has urged the Federal Government to resuscitate the Ibadan
Dry Port project.
The traditional ruler made the appeal on Monday in Ibadan when President Goodluck Jonathan visited [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]his palace at the commencement of his campaign tour of Oyo State.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Odulana also called for the creation of Ibadan State, saying “this would take development closer to the [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]people.’’
The monarch further called for a “full’’ ministerial position, advocating that “ we desire to have a full
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”8″]
ministerial position and not minister of state.’’
Earlier, the president had said he was in Ibadan to intimate the people of the state of his intension to contest next month’s presidential election.
“ We are here to seek for your royal blessings and inform you before we proceed to the campaign ground,’’ the president said.
Jonathan also urged the people of the state to support the PDP guber candidate, Sen. Teslim Folarin, pledging that the party would continue to ensure even development in the country.(NAN)
