PORT HARCOURT (Sundiata Post) – Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has sacked the state’s accountant-general, Ngozi Abu.
A statement sent to Sundiata Post on Sunday and signed by Simeon Nwakaudu, the governor’s special assistant (media), gave no reason for Abu’s removal but said the sack of the accountant-general took immediate.
According to the statement, the state’s director of treasury, Sir Dagogo Abere, has been appointed as acting accountant-general of the state. The appointment also takes immediate effect, Nwakaudu said.
