Abuja – The Embassy of Egypt in Nigeria says Egypt is repatriating 162 recovered bodies from the crashed Russian aircraft.
This is contained in a statement by Ahmed Maher, its Head of Press and Information, in Abuja on Tuesday.
Maher said that adequate measure had been put in place to ensure successful repatriation of the bodies.
According to statement, the Russian Minister of Transport and his counterpart from Ministry of Emergency, Maksim Sokolov and Vladimir Puchkov, were in Egypt to perfect the repatriation plan.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
It stated that the Russian ministers were in Egypt to follow up on the ongoing investigation on the circumstances surrounding the crash which occurred in Sinai.
“The Russian ministers left on Monday night after wrapping up a quick visit to Egypt to follow up the ongoing investigation carried out by the Egyptian authorities,” it stated.
The embassy expressed sympathy with families of the victims over their loss. (NAN)
