Moscow – Russian steel producer Severstal said on Friday European Union decision to impose provisional duty on imports of some cold-rolled flat steel products was a violation of World Trade Organisation rules.
It said that it would appeal.

“This is a direct violation of WTO legislation,” Severstal said in a statement.
It said it had cooperated fully with a European Commission investigation into allegations of dumping.
Severstal also said that any objective investigation would have concluded the firm was not dumping steel on European markets. (Reuters/NAN)
