Abuja -The Rwanda High Commissioner to Nigeria, Stanislas Kamanzi, on Thursday in Abuja commended Nigerian volunteers currently serving in Rwanda, describing their service as satisfactory.
The high commissioner, who gave the commendation at a press conference, said the volunteers deployed to his country were worthy ambassadors of Nigeria.
He also commended the efforts of the Technical Aid corps (TAC), in the screening and deployment of the volunteers.
“TAC has been sending Nigerian volunteers in education and health sector and they are doing a good job’’ he noted.
He urged TAC to send more volunteers in technical and skill core arrears with a view to developing critical sectors of his country’s economy.
Kamanzi also praised the current status of the bilateral ties between the two countries adding that both countries shared a common ground in taking development in Africa to ia higher level.
“Nigeria and Rwanda have enjoyed good bilateral relations since 2011 which has led to the establishment of resident diplomatic missions in both countries.

“Both countries have enjoyed robust diplomatic ties in the areas of defence and security, tourism and hospitality.
“The two countries also share a common ground in taking development in Africa to its next level,’’ Kamanzi said. (NAN)
