The military spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Joseph Nzabamwita, said on Tuesday in Kigali that the contingent would join another batch of 19 personnel who arrived in Bangui two months ago.
He said the medical personnel would be based in Bria, a small town located 550 kilometers from Bangui.
Nzabamwita said the deployment signified another milestone in Rwanda’s contribution to international peace and security.
He said Rwanda maintained an Infantry Battalion of 750 troops, 32 Staff Officers and Rwanda Formed Police Unit of 139 policemen, among other officers in MINUSCA. (PANA/NAN)
