JOHANNESBURG – South African power utility Eskom [ESCJ.UL] said on Thursday it would implement controlled outages from 0800 GMT to 2000 GMT because it did not have the capacity to meet demand.
Cash-strapped Eskom said on its Twitter feed the outages would be rolled out in what it calls “Stage Two”, which means it needs to reduce 2,000 MW of demand from the grid.(REUTERS)[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
