ABUJA (Sundiata Post) When I saw the piece wrote by Dele Momodu on how Saraki would defeat Buhari, and his well publicised photo with the Senate President, my mind went back to 2015. At times, I wonder if some of our media colleagues, both junior and senior, care about how people rate them.
In 2015, Momodu was head and toe pushing for Buhari. He spared nothing.
Now let’s admit Buhari has messed up, does that mean you quickly jump ship and start rooting for another person OPENLY (please note the emphasis on ‘openly’).
I still wonder how some of my colleagues would be ‘consulting’ for Tinubu or Ambode in Lagos and you are for Atiku or Saraki in Abuja?
Media thrives on strategy. It is about getting maximum POSITIVE LEVERAGE IN TERMS OF PERCEPTION. What kind of strategy tips will you be giving them? When you know these guys have their eyes on same prize.
I think it is more about principle and conscience. We can’t be criticising politicians who jump from one ship to the other while too are “o je n’ile oro, je n’ile eegun”.
Even if you want to offer professional media and strategy services, why not being a little bit discreet about it? You don’t have to ‘loud’ it as they say on the streets.
May be that is why I am not as rich as some of my colleagues, even junior ones.
And that’s why I will NEVER use this my profile to promote any politician. Mark my words. And let me add:
IF YOU HAVE PROOF ANYONE HAS EVER, EVER PAID FOR WHAT I WRITE HERE, COME FORWARD WITH PROOF.
In my family, PRINCIPLES and INTEGRITY are not in short supply. What about yours?
