Ibadan – The Founder of Bola Immaculate Group of Schools, Ibadan, Chief Bola Doherty on Friday said it would soon complete a JAMB, ICT building center in Ibadan.
Doherty said this at the school’s graduation and Annual Awards ceremony in Ibadan.
She said that the centre would help students to effectively prepare for JAMB as the teachers would be experienced ones that would guide them on how to answer questions, especially the computer based examinations.
“We have excellent performances in the 2016 common entrance exam, we have also introduced remedial classes for the JSS and SSCE students which is known as Great Achievers Academy.
“Our WAEC, NECO and state examinations were conducted hitch-free; we have been adjudged to be well behaved and steadfast in our academic activities,” she said.
She said that the school worked tirelessly to train students to become world leaders with sound education and knowledge.
Doherty said that the college made impressive increase in 2016 in the number of intakes and students in the boarding house.
She implored the students to be good ambassadors of the school in particular and the country in general.
She urged parents to invest in the future of their children so that they would be judged satisfactorily in meeting their parental obligations.
The Chairman of the occasion, Dr Onaolapo Sholeye enjoined the students to shun distractions, social vices but focus on their future and have faith in God.
“Always know as Abraham Lincoln wrote to his son, that all men are not just and true; for every enemy there is a friend.
“Know that a dollar earned is of more value than five dollars found; it’s far more honourable to fail than to cheat,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 18 pupils graduated from primary school level, while 19 from secondary school.
The dignitaries at the occasion includes Hon. Inna Itohdo, member representing Benue state in the House of Representatives and Mrs Omolala Fashola, mother of the Minister of Works, Housing and Power, Babatunde Fashola.
The highlight of the event includes presentation of certificates to the graduates and award to the parents. (NAN)
