NEW DELHI – A 16-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped near New Delhi, a media report said on Thursday.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
The report said that she was on her way back home from a class in the suburb of Ghaziabad on Wednesday evening when she was allegedly picked up by three men in a vehicle.
It added that she was taken to a house in a nearby area where she was gang-raped and later dumped on a road near her house.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
The report said police have arrested suspects, adding one of them was identified by the girl.
There has been a focus on sex crimes in India since the fatal gang rape of a 23-year-old woman in New Delhi in December 2012.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
