Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Military Commander, commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, has said securing Plateau State comes with a huge price.https://sundiatapost.com/terrorists-may-attack-plateau-this-night-goc-warns/
The Army boss who also doubles as the Commander of the Special Military Task Force also known as Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), said the lives of troops are mostly put in jeopardy in their task to ensure that citizens sleep with their eyes closed.
Gen. Abubakar was speaking at a stakeholders meeting that brought together Fulani and Mangu community leaders held recently in Mangu Local Government Area of the State.
He said for the entire State to be peaceful, troops work day and night to ensure that all emerging threats are addressed, appealing to the warring communities to embrace peace and drop all hostilities.
According to him: “I don’t sleep until 4am everyday and wake up before 10am, all in the bid to ensure that the State remains calm.

“Some of my soldiers are badly injured by assailants and are receiving treatment at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). One of my soldiers who is currently hospitalized was opened up from his chest to his abdomen during the operation. He is still currently in the hospital”, the GOC said.
He assured that troops under his command will continue to do all within its rules of engagement to guarantee the safety of all.
