IBADAN – Gov. Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Thursday presented 32 patrol vehicles to security agencies in the state to aid their operations in the general elections in 2015.
Ajimobi said at the ceremony that his administration was fully prepared for the conduct of the elections and would protect lives and property.
“The government and people of Oyo State are fully prepared for the 2015 elections”, he said.

The governor stated that the new vehicles would augment the several existing equipment earlier provided.
“You know, as the elections draw nearer, people tend to be more violent. Hence, this provision being made”, he said.
The outgoing Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Mohammed Ndabawa, said the patrol vehicles would assist in curbing crime.
The vehicles were presented to the Prisons, NSCDC, FRSC, Police and `Operation Burst.` (NAN)
