Abuja – A 30-year-old security guard, Ado Habu, was on Tuesday arraigned in a Karu Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly stealing six cartons of tiles.
The Prosecutor, Oluwafunke Bada, alleged that Habu , who works as a guard at a site behind AIT Asokoro , Abuja committed the offence on Feb. 5.

The prosecutor told the court that the case was reported at the Asokoro Police Station on Feb. 5 by one Abdullah Ibrahim of Suite 304 Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
Bada told the court that the complainant went to his site at the above address and discovered that the accused had stolen some tiles valued at N50, 000.
She said that during police investigation, the accused confessed to have stolen six cartons of tiles, which he sold to unknown person at the sum of N3, 000.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 288 of the Penal Code.
Habu, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge levelled against him.
The judge, Hassan Ishaq granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum, and adjourned the matter till Feb. 23, for further hearing. (NAN)
