Badagry (Lagos State) – A shoemaker, 26, Ikechukwu Johnson, was on Thursday charged before a Badagry Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State for stealing a motorcycle.
The accused, whose address is unknown, is facing a one count charge of stealing.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Innocent Uko, told the court that the accused, had on Jan. 24 at about 1 p.m., stolen a motorcycle belonging to one Emenike Salako from Falola Village at Seme.
Uko said the accused stole the motorcycle with registration number EKY X65 QC from the compound of the victim.
“While the complainant was sleeping, the accused sneaked into the compound and stole the motorcycle.
“He gained entry into the compound because it was not fenced,’’ he said.
Uko said that the offence contravened Section 285 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
Counsel to the accused, Mr Timothy Uzochukwu, urged the court to grant his client bail on liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mr Abiodun Etti, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 and a surety in like sum.
Etti said that the surety must show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
The magistrate adjourned the case to March 4 for further hearing. (NAN)
