“Muhammed was a prophet of peace, prophet of love. He urged his followers to dedicate their hearts to the love of God Almighty.
“ You cannot say you love prophet Muhammed and go contrary to his teachings.
“He said you should not lie; you should not cheat your neighbour, irrespective of his religion or tribe. You should not loot, you should not take alcohol, and if you do these you are not on his path.
“ We sympathise with the people who do not understand what Islam is.
“They do not understand prophet Muhammed and they are creating confusion by fomenting trouble in the North East, killing innocent people and still associating themselves with the religion of Islam.
“May Allah bring peace to all Nigerians, irrespective of their religion, because if your brother neighbour is not in peace you can’t be in peace too. You cannot do it alone.
