BODINGA (SOKOTO) – Sen. Abdallah Wali, PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Sokoto State, on Saturday promised to accord priority to the development of educational in the state, if elected.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Wali spoke at Bodinga town, headquarters of Bodinga Local Government Area of the state during his campaign rally.
He said that education was the only legacy any responsible government would leave behind for its future generations.
He said that already, a master plan that would ensure massive rehabilitation of structures in all primary and secondary schools across state, had been worked out.
” We will ensure the availability modern learning materials for all public schools to effectively enhance learning,” he said.
He explained that if giving the mandate, the pupils would no longer received lectures on the floor in both primary and secondary schools.
Wali also promised to increase scholarship and ensure prompt payment to encourage and motivate students in its universities.
He called on the people of Bodinga to protect their permanent voter cards, adding that the cards were vital in ensuring the success of the party’s candidates.
Also speaking, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, Chairman of the PDP in the state, assured the people that all contracts in the local governments would be awarded to the people.
He said that the party would fight the menace of poverty through job creation and called on the people to ensure they cast their votes to all PDP candidates.
Alhaji Ibrahim Gidado, Jonathan/ Sambo Deputy Director of the campaign organisation in the state, called on the people to ensure they cast their votes for President Jonathan to ensure rapid development of the state.
He said that the Jonathan-led administration had been fair to the people of the state, especially the expansion of Goronyo and Shagari irrigation scheme, assistance to flood victims as well as the construction of Almajiri school in the state, in addition to the re-construction of the Sokoto – Kontagora roads, among others .( NAN)
