Johannesburg – South African police have uncovered about 700 kilogrammes of
cocaine with a value of 51 million dollars on a container ship docked near the City of Port Elizabeth, the African
News Agency (ANA) reported on Tuesday.
The drugs were uncovered by a sniffer dog in one container among the more than 3,000 containers on board the vessel
from Brazil.
ANA noted that the cocaine, which was seized on Monday, was intended to be shipped on to Singapore and India.
The agency, however, added that no arrests were made yet.
