Bauchi – The Zonal Coordinator, Technology Incubation Center (TIC) Bauchi, Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed said the centre would assist entrepreneurs in the state who have innovative products to compete in the international market.
Mohammed made this known on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi.
Mohammed said that the centre’s assistance would enable Nigeria made products to be embraced in the international market.
She said that such products would improve the country’s economy, adding that the centre has some units that would provide accommodate to such entrepreneurs up to the period of three years.
“We will encourage beginners with various innovative businesses so that their products are marketable both national and International.
“The centre also has units that we give to the beginners to establish their businesses free of charge, and we monitor, advice and support them where necessary,’’ she said.
The zonal coordinator explained that the centre had also made discoveries of those with innovative products through research and some financial institutions were also linked them to enable them access loans.
“Some of the startups entrepreneur we have in the centre, we discovered them through our collaborative researches with some tertiary institutions.
“Those that are interested in accessing financial assistance, we also linked them with financial institutions for loans.
“And if at any time the Federal Government has any packages or grants for entrepreneurs, we also summit their names to our head office,’’ she said.(NAN)
