Two have been a joint operation carried out by Nigerian , Air Force and Police Imo.

Commissioner of Police the , CP Abutu Yaro, confirmed this to newsmen Owerri on Thursday.

Yaro said that the bandits were a gun battle between the military and the unidentified gunmen at Ikenanzizi Obowo Local Area of the .

He disclosed that two rifles, five motorcycles, a Lexus jeep and one 18 seater bus were recovered the gunmen.

The commissioner said that the operation was carried out in line ’s resolve to rid the country of ravaging insecurity.

He, however, said that the team could lay hands on only one corpse as, according to him, the were able to escape the second corpse.

“We have one corpse but they escaped the other one and has been deposited at the Federal Centre Owerri, morgue,” he said.
