Lagos – Bola Mogaji, Chief Referee of the Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF) says the federation plans to organise a refresher course for referees sometime in June.
Mogaji told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Monday that the last General Elections disrupted the federation’s programmes.
“We have not been up and doing because of the electioneering process, most of our members were busy during the period, but now that the elections are over we are back on track.
“There will be a refresher programme for our technical officials. We have been in partnership with the players and we know about their programmes, so most of our referees keep themselves busy.
“After the May 29 inauguration of the political leadership of the country, there will be a board meeting, then a date will be chosen for the training seminar,” Mogaji said.

Mogaji who is also a member of the Main Organising Committee (MOC) for the forthcoming National Sports Festival (NSF) told NAN that the festival had yet to get new dates, after it was postponed indefinitely.
“Initially it was scheduled for April, but due to the postponement of the elections the plan was disrupted.
“So, as it is now it has been postponed indefinitely as our last briefing, so it is, we don’t know when it will hold,’’ the chief referee added. (NAN)
