COLOMBO (SUNDIATA POST)- The Sri Lankan Government on Tuesday approved a proposal to import eggs to stabilise market prices.

The government also hoped to ensure adequate supplies during the upcoming festive seasons.

The government’s information department has said.

The department said Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security, Nalin Fernando, submitted the proposal for the importation of eggs.

The last such cabinet decision taken on March 18 set a time frame until the end of April. (Xinhua/NAN)
