(ICC-NNC), has restated the immense benefits available to building material manufacturers and investors as members of the ICC.
Ngwaba, who stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos, said that manufacturers would have access to innovators in building systems.
“In addition, they will have their products evaluated by ICC and when found worthy, they will be[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
recommended to the wider world.
“Also, when buildings and infrastructure are designed and constructed, according to international codes and standards, the investors will be preserving the values of their investment,’’ he said.
Ngwaba said that operational and maintenance cost of such buildings and infrastructure would greatly reduce.
He said that Nigeria, as a member of ICC, would have a better plan, designed and constructed environment that meet world standards.
The ICC-NNC president said that this would ensure the safety, health and welfare of the citizens.
He explained that members of the world body would have access to research, nest practices and other information relevant in the building and construction industry.
Ngwaba said that members would also have access to two training sessions in a year.
He said that membership of the council was opened to both public and private sectors in the building and construction industry. (NAN)
