The Chief of Staff to Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Alhaji Mahe Abdulquadri, has passed away. He died on Saturday at his Adewole residence in Ilorin, according to family sources.
Mahe, aged 75, was a prominent figure in Kwara State and was regarded as a strong contender for the Emirship throne in Ilorin. Over his career, he served in various roles at both the federal and state levels.
Before joining the state civil service, Mahe worked as a senior staff member at the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) in Ilorin. He later held key positions in the state government, including Permanent Secretary and Clerk of the Kwara State House of Assembly, before retiring.
Just days before his passing, Mahe attended the 2024 Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) meeting, which took place between December 24 and 25.
As of the time of this report, burial arrangements were still underway. His death marks a significant loss to the state, given his longstanding contributions to governance and community development.
