Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has approved the appointment of over 200 young individuals to various positions within his cabinet.
This was confirmed by Mallam Yusuf Ali, the Senior Special Assistant for Digital and Strategic Communications to the Governor, during a media briefing on Wednesday, March 12.
According to Ali, the appointees will serve in diverse roles, including focal persons, senior special assistants, special assistants, and technical assistants in the media sector.
Governor Buni highlighted that the appointments reflect his commitment to encouraging youth participation in governance and leveraging their innovative ideas to enhance the state’s communication strategies.
Ali emphasized that this initiative is part of the administration’s effort to provide opportunities for young talents, enabling them to contribute to Yobe State’s development. He described the move as a demonstration of Governor Buni’s leadership style, which focuses on inclusion, innovation, and human capital development.
The newly appointed individuals are expected to assume their roles immediately, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to the administration’s media and communication strategies.
Ali also noted that the initiative aims to empower the youth, increase their involvement in governance, and help address unemployment challenges within the state.
