Sudan And US To Hold Further Talks On Removing Khartoum From Terrorism Sponsor List

KHARTOUM     –       Sudan’s foreign ministry said Thursday that Khartoum and Washington have agreed to launch the phase strategic talks aimed at removing Sudan from the United States’ sponsors of list.

The .S. lifted 20-year-old trade sanctions Sudan a year ago, but economists say foreign investors and banks are put off by Sudan’s continued designation by Washington as a sponsor terrorism, alongside Iran, North Korea and Syria.(Reuters)
