Khartoum- The European Union on Wednesday commended the Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia on the recent political agreement they signed in Khartoum on the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GRED).

In a statement it issued in Khartoum, the EU said the pact marked an important political initiative for the management of the Nile waters.

EU has always supported an equitable outcome that will enable the waters of the Nile, on which millions of people depend for their life and livelihoods, to be used for the development of all.
