KABUL – A suicide bomber blew himself up close to an Afghan army bus on Thursday in Kabul, official said.
Acting Interior Minister, Ayoub Salangi said that five people were injured in the attack but gave no further details.
However, the bombing took place in the Tarakhel neighbourhood on the eastern outskirts of Kabul.
But a security official speaking on the condition of anonymity said that six army staff were killed and 12 injured.
“The bomber on foot wanted to get on the bus when it had stopped for the personnel, but failed to enter the bus and detonated his explosives at the door,’’ the official said.
However, the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.(dpa/NAN)
